Five months after its launch, the Class Action Clinic at Windsor Law has expanded. To keep up with public demand, the clinic has added two more students to its roster in addition to staff lawyer Andrew Eckart.
Eckart is an attorney, mediator, and sessional instructor of torts at the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Law. In his new role, he will oversee the clinic students, provide legal services to clients, and be responsible for the clinic’s day-to-day operation.
“Andrew brings a wealth of class action experience and knowledge, as well as several years of teaching experience,” says clinic director and Windsor Law professor Jasminka Kalajdzic. “He will be an invaluable resource for both students, whose work he will oversee, and clients of the clinic, who he will serve.”
The new students, both in their second year of law school, will assist class members with claims forms and other matters, and will develop public legal education material.
