A Roman Catholic nun will share her reflections on new opportunities for witnessing religious life in a free public presentation Sunday, November 10, at 3 p.m. in Assumption University Chapel.
Mary Lou Wirtz is general superior of the Franciscan Sisters, Daughters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, and past president of the International Union of Superiors General.
She will begin her presentation, entitled “New Directions and New Relationships for Religious Life,” by giving a brief glimpse of religious life before the Second Vatican Council, followed by the call and challenges of the Second Vatican Council, and sharing reflections on new directions in today’s Church and society.
This event, part of the Christian Culture Series, will be televised on Salt and Light Catholic Television Network.
