Ontario University Athletics named two first-year Lancer football players to its all-rookie list Tuesday.

Offensive lineman Brett Boersma, a biology student, and defensive back Matthew Gayer, a criminology major, represent Windsor on the team.

The all-rookie list is designed to identify exceptional freshmen and to give recognition for their outstanding performances. The 2013 OUA all-rookies were selected by the league’s football coaches through a nomination and vote process.
