Although she would prefer a career on the stage, third-year acting student Breanna Maloney says she enjoyed participating in a session Friday with Suede Productions, shooting a new commercial to promote UWindsor arts programs.
She calls it “a smart way to promote the school” to prospective students.
“I liked the previous version,” which showed students in the quad outside Dillon Hall, Maloney says. “It was nice to see the focus put on students.”
A crew from the local production company spent Friday filming in the Centre for Engineering Innovation as well as the Jackman Dramatic Art Centre.
“It allows us to show some of the amazing facilities on the campus while still featuring students enjoying these spaces,” says Nick Shields, a UWindsor alumnus (BA 1995) and Suede’s co-founder.
The commercials will be shown in cinemas throughout southwestern Ontario.
