AUTO21, the automotive research program based at the University of Windsor, has partnered with about a dozen companies to showcase their products and services at the 2013 Canadian Aerospace Summit, in Ottawa on October 16 and 17.

Featuring firms that range from global automotive suppliers to smaller start-ups, this year’s pavilion has doubled in size from last year, indicating a strong interest amongst automotive companies looking to enter new sectors.

Canadian aerospace is responsible for $42 billion in revenue and 170,000 jobs across the country, according to a 2013 Industry Canada report. The Aerospace Industries Association of Canada expects 600 people to attend the summit.

Exhibitors in the AUTO21 automotive pavilion include Canadian Light Source, Cavalier Tool and Manufacturing, CenterLine (Windsor) Limited, Centre for Biocomposites and Biomaterials Processing, the Bioproducts Discovery and Development Centre, Jesse Garant and Associates Metrology Center, Omega Tool, Radix, Reko International Group, Sober Steering, Theta Industries and University of Windsor Research Services.
