Workshop offers practical practice tips to choristers

Catherine RobbinsA workshop offered as part of the Windsor Choral Festival on Friday, March 3, will feature instruction by Catherine Robbins, professor of music education at the University of Manitoba and director of its concert choir.

Dr. Robbins will discuss resonance with practical exercises aimed at helping choristers improve their voice at every rehearsal. Set for 7:30 p.m. at Walkerville Collegiate, 2100 Richmond Street, the session is free and open to all singers at all levels.

The festival will culminate in a concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at the Capitol Theatre. Several choirs from Windsor-Essex will perform, joining forces for the grand finale. Admission is by free-will donation at 121 University Avenue West.
