Recital a showcase for student talents

The School of Music’s Take 4 series of student recitals will showcase performances by six students in the Music Building’s Recital Hall, Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The program features:

  • Soprano Emily Lemmon performing “Sul fil d’un soffio etesio” by Giuseppe Verdi and “Pastorale” by Aaron Copeland, accompanied by Elsie Inselman on piano.
  • Philip Budd, euphonium, performing “Aria” by Eugene Bozza, accompanied by Yvonne Quinn on piano.
  • Double bassists Sinan Khalaf and Mitchell Glover performing “Minuet in G” by Ludwig van Beethoven. Glover will also perform “The Elephant” from The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saens.
  • Classical guitarist Steven Janisse performing “In Sorrow’s Wake” by Andrew York.
  • Marimbist Martin Andres performing “Elogio de la Danza” by Leo Brouwer and “My Lady White” by David Maslanka.
