The founder of a global study examining the impact of rape on women’s political identities in extremist movements will discuss the issue in a free public lecture Wednesday, September 28, at the law school.
Nimmi Gowrinathan founded the Politics of Sexual Violence Initiative and teaches at the Colin Powell Centre for Global and Civic Leadership at City College New York. She will deliver her lecture, “The Violence of Gender: Political Identities and Transitional Justice,” at noon in the Farmer Conference Room.
This event is presented by the Transnational Law and Justice Network as part of its Borders, Boundaries and Intersections speakers’ series.
