Evening of auction fun to support new scholarship

An Evening of Bidding and Fun on March 8 will support the creation of a new scholarship for students in Liberal Arts and Professional Studies.

Guests will learn about how auctions are conducted around the world, learn auction strategies and try them out the same night with a live fundraising auction with Jack and Mauretta Morris of Jack Morris Auctions.

Featured items include:

  • a Teavana gift package;
  • a plane ride with Journey Air;
  • an alumni gift basket; and
  • coffee with UWindsor president Alan Wildeman.

The action runs 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Ambassador Auditorium, CAW Student Centre. Registration and details are available at: http://www.uwindsor.ca/laps/14/auctions-world

The Liberal Arts and Professional Studies program is geared to students who seek knowledge in several fields and who require flexibility to take courses around their work schedules. The program includes courses in arts, social sciences, science or engineering, and business.
