A team of students from Windsor Law took top honours in the Donald G.H. Bowman National Tax Moot, in Toronto on February 27 and 28.
It was the fifth year for the competition, named for the former chief justice of the Tax Court of Canada. The country’s first competitive moot on taxation, it was founded by UWindsor law professors Emir Crowne and John Weir with support from Dentons Canada LLP.
Under the leadership of coach Marcela Aroca, the winning team included Chuck Andary, Zev Smith, Khaled Gheddai, Jillian Mulroy, and Khalid Karim, who also took home the best advocate award.
