UWindsor gear a rite of entry for new students

Navnit Sidhu couldn’t wait to get her hands on some UWindsor gear. She will be starting studies in criminology in September and joined a throng of new students and parents who lined up at the Campus Store kiosk in the CAW Student Centre on Friday.

“I am so excited to come here next year,” said Sidhu, who drove with her parents from Toronto for the day.

She bought several items, including a sweatshirt emblazoned with the UWindsor logo. The store’s marketing manager, Martin Deck, says the new look has been a big hit with customers.

“It is flying off our shelves,” he said. “We’ve already sold out of some items and some sizes.”

He reassures patrons eager to show their UWindsor pride that there is plenty more where that came from: “We’ll be stocking new inventory all summer.”
