OSSA 13 Final Instructions

We look forward to welcoming you all to Windsor in a few weeks’ time.

Some final points to note:

1. A map of the campus is linked here. This identifies Vanier Hall, where registration will take place on Wednesday, along with the pre-conference workshop. The conference itself will be held in the Law School, at the north end of campus (towards the river).

2. Rooms are equipped PowerPoints and web connection. If you have a PowerPoint presentation, we suggest you both email it to the OSSA email address and also bring it on a USB stick.

3. Many of you have been assigned to Chair a session. Please check the Schedule for these assignments. Instructions for Chairing will be in your conference package.

4. There will be a book table in the Law School. Feel free to bring copies of books and flyers with you.

In keeping with OSSA traditions, we reserve Friday night for a free evening in downtown Windsor, after our reception there. Buses will take us from the Law School to the Armouries building in the downtown area, leaving at 5:30 sharp (everyone makes their own way back to their accommodations). The Windsor Armouries is one of the university’s downtown locations and hosts the School of Creative Arts. We will enjoy a reception there until 7:30, after which everyone is encouraged to try dinner at one of the local restaurants. There are many available in different price ranges. The following is a sample, recommended by members of the Organizing Committee. Since it is Friday evening, reservations might be advisable. You can also see the location of the restaurants here.
