Dr. Mary Jo Haddad, CM, BScN, MHSc, LLD, Chancellor of the University of Windsor extends an invitation to students, alumni, faculty, staff and community members to join in the Chancellor’s Leadership Series with Julia Deans.​

Dr. Mary Jo Haddad, CM, BScN, MHSc, LLD, Chancellor, University of Windsor

Mary Jo Haddad, Chancellor of the University of Windsor since Spring 2019, previously served as President and CEO of The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto from 2004 to 2013. An honours graduate in Nursing from the University of Windsor, she also holds a Master’s degree in Health Science from the University of Toronto. Haddad has received multiple honorary degrees and awards for her contributions to children's health, including being named a Member of the Order of Canada in 2010. She founded MJH & Associates, offering strategic leadership in healthcare, and holds significant roles with TD Bank Group and TELUS. Haddad has also contributed to various boards, emphasizing research, innovation, and children's health advocacy.

Julia Deans, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity Canada

Julia Deans, ICD.D, is the President & CEO of Habitat for Humanity Canada, leading a federation of 46 local members to promote safe, affordable housing. Educated at Queen’s University, Columbia University, and Osgoode Hall Law School, she has practiced law internationally and led several organizations, including CivicAction and Futurpreneur Canada. Deans has received numerous accolades for her leadership and contributions to diversity and literacy, serving on multiple boards and as an Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the Canadian Armed Forces.
