Partner with us to work with students who want to make an impact.
Hire UWindsor students who want to make an impact in their local community through the VIP-Community Service Learning Program (VIP-CSL). We match local non-profit or publicly funded organizations with a pool of motivated students eager to volunteer and contribute. VIP-CSL students come from a variety of programs and are ready and willing to delve into task-based or project-oriented roles that provide an opportunity for them to apply their discipline specific knowledge and gain relevant skills for their future career.
How does it work?
- VIP-CSL students are vetted through a competitive admission process including an application, resume submission, interview, and academic review.
- Successful applicants are matched with your volunteer position based on your description and requirements.
- Students begin volunteering at the end of the first month of the academic term (September, January, May).
- Students work with a supervisor at your organization or at community events to complete a minimum of 40 volunteer hours over 8-12 weeks.
- Students can be assigned to a special project or integrated into your day-to-day operations.
How to become a UWindsor community partner
- Contact our Applied Learning Coordinator to request a VIP-CSL Volunteer Position Posting Form
- Positions can be submitted any time before the deadline. The deadline for each term is 2-3 weeks before the term begins (mid-December for Winter, mid-April for Spring/Summer, mid-August for Fall).
