1. Carve a Pumpkin
Just because Halloween may be more low-key this year doesn’t mean that your neighbourhood doesn’t need some of your creativity to literally shine through. Find a stencil online or pick your own; let your imagination run wild!
2. Watch a Not-So-Scary Halloween Movie
Hocus Pocus or Halloweentown anyone? Even a visit from Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin will give you the seasonal feels without the nightmares.
3. Go Through Old Pictures
The fact of the matter is that it’s going to be quieter this year, so why not reminisce on some of the costumes you wore when you were younger? Especially if the costumes were homemade!
4. Have Some Candy
Candy and Halloween go together like popcorn and butter; they’re just meant to be. You can even find out how to make Halloween chocolate bark on the Campus Ministry Instagram if you bought too much candy this year.
5. Take a Walk
If you can, take a walk in your neighbourhood and admire the decorations that people have put up. I’ve found that this year especially, people have gone all out.
Happy Hallo-week from Jessica/Belle!
