The second bi-annual Biotechnology Entrepreneurship (BE) Symposium 2017 will take place on Friday, September 29th, 2017 at the University of Windsor.
The second biannual Biotechnology Entrepreneurship (BE) Symposium is hosted by the Masters of Medical Biotechnology Program (Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry) in partnership with EPICentre and will take place on September 29th, 2017 in Ambassador Auditorium, CAW Student Centre at the University of Windsor (401 Sunset Avenue, Windsor, Ontario, N9B 3P4).
The BE Symposium is geared towards students, entrepreneurs and biotechnology professionals who wish to develop their knowledge of the biotechnology industry and the journey from research innovation to thriving business. This one-day symposium will inform participants about the journey from biotechnology to business while showcasing hot topics in the industry and guiding them to achieve their career goals. This year’s keynote address by Dr. Ken Massey, Wayne State University, will showcase the journey from biotechnology to business.
A special feature of this symposium will be the Medical Marijuana panel where legal, business, and science experts will share their thoughts, opinions, and knowledge about this new facet of the biotechnology industry. In addition, participants will get an opportunity to participate in a Grants & Funding panel discussion, and learn more about biotechnology career opportunities.
