Assumption University, Canterbury College, and Iona College, as well as the UWindsor Division of Student Affairs along with several community partners, will host an Ecumenical Prayer Service on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 6 p.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
The service is in honour of Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, demonstrating the similarities between Christians outweigh the differences. It is a time for all Christians to come together to pray for peace, harmony, and unity.
More than 10 Christian denominations will take part in the service. Elder McCair Tulloch will preach. Toward the end of the service, the Our Father will be prayed in Aramaic, the native language of Jesus, by a deacon from the Chaldean Catholic Church.
A goodwill offering will be taken for student food banks and the Downtown Mission.
