An exciting new partnership at the University of Windsor will work to bridge the industry talent gap, foster innovation and connect students with more than 500 companies in the Canadian technology sector.
The University of Windsor is pleased to announce an agreement with the Kanata North Business Association (KNBA) and Hub350, Canada's largest tech hub located in the heart of Kanata North.
By joining forces with the KNBA and Hub350, the University's Office of Co-operative Education and Workplace Partnerships, the Office of Research and Innovation, the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Engineering will enhance their capacity to connect students with industry-leading companies and contribute to the growth and development of Canada's vibrant tech ecosystem.
"Partnering with the Kanata North Business Association and Hub350 is a tremendous opportunity for us to help bridge the gap between industry and talent, helping to fuel the tech park with the best and brightest student talent from the University of Windsor," said Prof. Judy Bornais, executive director of the University’s Office of Experiential Learning.
"We are committed to preparing our students for successful careers in the tech industry and this partnership will help us achieve that goal by giving them access to one of the largest concentrations of tech in Canada."
Bornais said the collaboration between the University, the KNBA and Hub350 will expand the University of Windsor’s presence in the region, showcasing its comprehensive program catalogue, educational methodologies and the rich pipeline of student talent and skills. Students will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful experiential learning, research projects, internships and co-op placements, enabling them to gain real-world experience and develop the skills necessary to thrive in the tech industry.
