Automotive Option

The objectives of the Automotive Option include:

  • to provide students an understanding of the automotive industry and Canada's place in it;
  • to give students an understanding of the major technological issues in the industry from the point of view of materials, manufacturing, design, ergonomics as well as business;
  • to offer students the skills which will enable them to contribute to their employers more rapidly and thus gain an advantage over graduates from other universities;
  • to further assist the development of the automotive industry in Canada and particularly in Windsor-Essex by providing better educated engineers;
