Please note that individuals who retired under special programs, such as early retirement programs, may be entitled to other benefits which are not outlined in this page.
 
The information on this page applies to retirees who are beyond the normal retirement age (65).
 
Health & Dental
 
To find out about your benefit entitlements and the retiree - employer contributions, please refer to your Collective Agreement and/or contact the Benefits Administration staff. Please note that some retiree groups are able to obtain a subsidy for premiums.

Out of Province / Country Travel Coverage
 
Out of province hospital and medical services coverage is provided through Green Shield to retirees who meet the Canadian residency requirements and are enrolled in the health care component of the benefit plan.
 
Tuition Remission Benefit
 
For specific details regarding the Tuition Remission for retirees, please refer to the active employee benefits page for your pre-retirement employee group.

St. Denis Centre Membership
 
To support the wellbeing and good health of our employees, the University provides cost-free membership to the St. Denis Athletic Centre. The membership includes use of the pool and field house. Employees are able to purchase a membership to the Forge at a discount price.
